This document describes the preparation of cytosolic and combined nuclear/mitochondrial cell fraction lysates from frozen needle biopsies for analyte quantification using multiplex immunoassays. It also includes steps to determine protein concentration by the bicinchoninic acid (BCA) assay. It is a product of the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis (DCTD).
