Description

This document describes procedures for the collection, processing, preservation, storage, and shipping of whole blood in PAXgene, EDTA, and Vacutainer tubes; saliva; urine; feces; pancreatic fluid; and pancreatic tissue. It includes protocols on the processing of EDTA blood to obtain plasma, isolation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from buffy coat, and collection of serum from Vacutainer tubes.
