Description
This assay analytical validation and performance report describes the methods used to validate the Visium spatial RNA sequencing assay for the analysis of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections. The document includes acceptable thresholds for RNA quality (DV200) and QC sequencing metrics and a comparison of data generated from FFPE and OCT-embedded frozen tissue specimens. Data that supports the reported reproducibility is also presented. It is used by the Cancer Immune Monitoring and Analysis Center (CIMAC) at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. It is a product of the CIMAC and Cancer Immunologic Data Center Network (CIMAC-CIDC Network; https://dctd.cancer.gov/ResearchNetworks/cimacs_cidc_network.htm), a Cancer Moonshot Initiative.
