Description
This document describes procedures used by the Office of HIV/AIDS Network Coordination (HANC) for the collection of lithium heparin blood, the transfer of plasma to QFT-Plus tubes, and the processing, transport, storage, and analysis of specimens for IFN-γ levels by ELISA using the QIAGEN QuantiFERON-TB Gold Plus (QFT-Plus) Interferon Gamma Release Assay (IGRA). It is developed and maintained by the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG)/International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials group (IMPAACT) Lab Tech Committee (LTC) and is available under the heading "Tuberculosis" at https://www.hanc.info/labs/labresources/procedures/Pages/actgImpaactLabManual.aspx.
