Description
This document describes the procedures used by the Office of HIV/AIDS Network Coordination (HANC) for the collection and preservation of stool and rectal swab samples from clinical trial participants for gut microbiome analysis. It is developed and maintained by the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG)/International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials group (IMPAACT) Lab Tech Committee (LTC) and is available under the heading "Other SOPs" at https://www.hanc.info/labs/labresources/procedures/Pages/actgImpaactLabManual.aspx.
