Description

This document describes the procedures used by the Office of HIV/AIDS Network Coordination (HANC) for measuring cell proliferation in EDTA blood, Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs), or lymph node aspirate cells based on fluorescent staining of the nuclear antigen Ki67 using flow cytometry. Specimens were collected from clinical trial participants. It is developed and maintained by the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG)/International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials group (IMPAACT) Lab Tech Committee (LTC) and is available under the heading "Immunology" at https://www.hanc.info/labs/labresources/procedures/Pages/actgImpaactLabManual.aspx.
