Description
This document describes the procedures used by the Office of HIV/AIDS Network Coordination (HANC) for measuring immune activation of T cells by flow cytometry using frozen Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) isolated from heparin or EDTA blood collected from clinical trial participants. It is developed and maintained by the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG)/International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials group (IMPAACT) Lab Tech Committee (LTC) and is available under the heading "Other SOPs" at https://www.hanc.info/labs/labresources/procedures/Pages/actgImpaactLabManual.aspx.
