Description

This document describes procedures used by the Office of HIV/AIDS Network Coordination (HANC) to quantify immune cells based on staining of immunological markers (CD3, CD4, CD8, HLA-DR, CD38, CD19, CD14, CD16, CD56, CCR2, CX3CR1, CCR5, CXCR4, CD11b, CD142, PDL-1, CD120a, CD120b, CD163, and CD62P) by flow cytometry in frozen peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) isolated from heparin or EDTA blood collected from clinical trial participants. It is developed and maintained by the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG)/International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials group (IMPAACT) Lab Tech Committee (LTC) and is available under the heading "Other SOPs" at https://www.hanc.info/labs/labresources/procedures/Pages/actgImpaactLabManual.aspx.
