Description
This document describes the procedures used by the Office of HIV/AIDS Network Coordination (HANC) for measuring proliferation of Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) using carboxyfluorescein succinimidyl ester (CFSE) fluorescent dye and flow cytometry analysis of EDTA blood collected from clinical trial participants. It is developed and maintained by the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG)/International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials group (IMPAACT) Lab Tech Committee (LTC) and is available under the heading "Other SOPs" at https://www.hanc.info/labs/labresources/procedures/Pages/actgImpaactLabManual.aspx.
