Description
This document describes the procedures used by the Office of HIV/AIDS Network Coordination (HANC) to quantify CCR5 and/or CCR2 receptor binding to an experimental drug by flow cytometry using fresh or frozen peripheral blood mononuclear cells isolated from EDTA blood collected from clinical trial participants. It is developed and maintained by the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG)/International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials group (IMPAACT) Lab Tech Committee (LTC) and is available under the heading "Other SOPs" at https://www.hanc.info/labs/labresources/procedures/Pages/actgImpaactLabManual.aspx.
