Description
This document describes the procedures used by the Biological Testing Branch (BTB) for establishing primary cancer-associated fibroblast (CAF) cultures from cryopreserved patient-derived tumor tissue at NCI-Frederick, Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research. It also includes steps for the subculture and cryopreservation of CAFs. It is a product of the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) Patient-Derived Models Repository (PDMR) and is available at https://pdmr.cancer.gov/sops/default.htm.
