Description
This document describes the procedures for DNA extraction from fresh, snap-frozen, OCT-embedded frozen blocks, and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded blocks that are used by Network for Pancreatic Organ Donors with Diabetes (nPOD) laboratories. It also includes steps for DNA quantification by spectrophotometry and quality assessment by agarose gel electrophoresis.
