This document describes the procedures used by Network for Pancreatic Organ Donors with Diabetes (nPOD) laboratories for isolating, freezing, and storing peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from uncoagulated blood. It includes steps for enumerating cells using an automated counter.
