Description
This document describes the procedures used by the Early Detection Research Network (EDRN; https://edrn.cancer.gov/) for the collection, processing, preservation, and shipping of blood and derivative specimens (plasma, serum, buffy coat) before and after digital rectal exams (DRE) as part of the Prostate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (P-MRI) Biomarker Study. It is intended to be used with project-specific collection and shipping kits and is available at https://edrn.cancer.gov/data-and-resources/standard-operating-procedures/.
