Description

This document describes the procedures used by the Early Detection Research Network (EDRN; https://edrn.cancer.gov/) as part of the Prostate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (P-MRI) Biomarker Study for the collection, preservation, temporary storage (-80°C), and shipment of prostate biopsy tissue prints on nitrocellulose using project-supplied kits; it also covers the shipment of FFPE specimens as either unstained slides or FFPE blocks that were procured during radical prostatectomy. Prostate specimens are intended for RNA and DNA analyses. It is available at https://edrn.cancer.gov/data-and-resources/standard-operating-procedures/.
