Description

This document describes the procurement of non small cell lung adenocarcinoma specimens from newly diagnosed, untreated patients undergoing definitive surgery for lung cancer. Specimens are suitable for genomic or proteomic analysis. A procedure for the collection of peripheral venous blood prior to the administration of anesthesia is also included. Protocols are a product of the Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC; http://proteomics.cancer.gov/programs/cptacnetwork), which is sponsored by the National Cancer Institute's Office of Cancer Clinical Proteomics Research (http://proteomics.cancer.gov/).
