Description

This document describes procedures for blood collection, plasma/serum separation, storage, and transport for metabolomic studies of serum and lithium heparin plasma, proteomic studies of lithium heparin plasma, and trace metal studies of sodium heparin plasma. The document also describes the process used by the Centre for Advanced Discovery and Experimental Therapeutics (CADET) for freezing tissue specimens and transportation on dry ice.
