Description

This document describes the protocol used to extract DNA from frozen fecal samples using the Qiagen QIASymphony DSP Virus/Pathogen Midi Kit and the QIASymphony SP instrument in order to characterize microbiota by metagenomic profiling. It is a product of the International Human Microbiome Standards (IHMS) project and is available for download at: http://mgps.eu/standard-operating-procedure/.
