Description

This document describes the protocol used for fecal specimen self-collection and preservation in a stabilizing solution. Fecal specimens are intended to be processed by the laboratory within 24 hours to 7 days of collection. It is a product of the International Human Microbiome Standards (IHMS) project and is available for download at: http://www.microbiome-standards.org/#SOPS.
