Description
This document contains procedures for collecting muscle tissue from the external vastus lateralis muscle of the thigh by needle biopsy or Weil Blakesley tweezer 's biopsy. Biopsies collected under this SOP were subjected to oxidative stress and gene expression analyses. The SOP was developed and used by the European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ECRIN) Nutrition Centres. The document is available from http://www.ecrin.org/.
